So here we are, day 2.  Don't worry, I am sure that my enthusiasm will level off at some point and I won't be posting every day, but at this point, I am super excited :)
Training is still pretty easy.  Four easy miles today, to be specific.

If you are reading this, and you have donated to the ALF on my behalf, thank you!  You know, I was originally going to hold off on running the marathon until I could qualify.  I was really anxious about fundraising.  I hate asking people for money.  One part of running as a charity runner that I had not anticipated, however, was the team it would create.  First, there is the ALF team.  I have only been to one team meeting so far, but it was awesome!  What an amazing group of people.  I am sure that you will hear more about them as training progresses.  Then there is the team of people supporting me through contributing to my fundraising.  I joked in my fundraising letter about being paid to run for you, but I do feel like I am running for all of those who have supported me.  I am feeling the love, and for that, I thank you!

The BIG day!!!

So much to write about since my last blog. Going in chronological order... My last fundraiser was a paint night at Muise Paintbar.  So much fun!  And look at the fantastic works of art we created. Add caption Painting, drinks, music, and friends.  What more could you ask for in a night out? Then there was the great flood of 2018, also known as the Boston Marathon.  It didn't just rain, it poured, and the wind, ugh!  Every time I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did.  So much rain!  But I did it!  And here are some pictures to prove it. All Dressed Up and Ready to Go!

I really wish that I was better about taking photos.  I totally embrace the "live in the moment, don't photograph it," motto.  However, it can be great to look at a photo and relive the great memories.  Also, when you are reading someone's blog, it is usually more appealing with a couple of photos to break it up a bit.  Oh well.  Let's just all use our imaginations... Lots has happened since my last post.  I was joined by 20 other wonderful yogis for my super successful yoga fundraiser.  Dave Lind, my first yoga teacher, led us through a beautiful series of poses.  Afterwards, we had tea and snacks.  It was lovely, and we raised $725 for the American Liver Foundation! We get by with a little help from our friends

Have you seen the Willow Polar tower?  The Willow team has been crushing cans of Polar every Thursday to create this majestic structure.  Sadly, we will be moving out of our office soon.  We discussed what to do with the cans once the masterpiece has been taken down.  The team decided to donate the money to the ALF on behalf of my fundraising efforts, because they rock. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the support I have gotten from all of my friends and family.  I have reconnected with folks I haven't spoken to for some time.  I have gotten to enjoy hanging out with my friends and family at my fundraisers.  And last, but not least, I have loved running with my team.  Distance runs are much easier to swallow when you have good company! Some future fundraisers coming up include poker at Jamie's house on the 27th (message me if you play and are interested), yoga on 3/10 (with the amazing David Lind), and, of course Superbowl Squares!
